Hand-carved from solid monkey pod wood, also known as suar wood,this wonderful tree wine rack is carved out of one piece of wood with a rich wax finish, enhancing the beautiful grain of the wood. Holding 12 bottles, this is a stunning piece.
The Monkey Pod collection features many interesting and unusual items, all handmade from the Chiang Mai region of Northern Thailand. Each piece is made from plantation monkey pod wood, a part of the Acacia tree family, also known as suar wood.
Each piece has been sourced through fair trade means - our supplier of Thai pieces ensures that the local craftsman that make these items are paid a fair wage and a good relationship has developed as a result.
*Please note this is suitable for wine bottles up to 7.5cm which is the common size wine bottle but there are some wine bottle sizes that will be too thick for this holder.
